libfreexl1 software package provides library for direct reading of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfreexl1
libfreexl1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfreexl1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfreexl1 *
You will get with libfreexl1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
